History

After 25 years owning and running a variety of successful restaurants, Leo Charmantas always wanted to open a restaurant where its main influence was from his ancestral roots, which were based in the idyllic island of Cyprus.

Seeing the trend towards healthy eating, the opportunity arose so Leo and his wife Annalise opened the first green Olive in Henley – on – Thames in 2001 with a Meze only Menu and a contemporary look and feel. The Windsor restaurant soon followed.

Meze was originally a civilised way of whetting the appetite by casually tasting a morsel from here and another from there. Choosing from an appetising and varied selection of individual dishes, whilst chatting and enjoying a drink has evolved into a relaxed and casual way of dining.

Leo and Annalise are keen to promote this way of dining and with the opening of the third restaurant in the lovely surrey village of Chobham the adventure continues.

They hope you enjoy the experience.
